Our dance form is beautiful because of the way we move as one.  In this workshop, you will learn science-backed strategies to help improve your synchronicity with other dancers, whether that is the new friend you made at the Hafla or your troupe.  After briefly reviewing the science about why this works, you will learn how to apply the science.  Finally, most of the workshop will be spent practicing the exercises that will help you improve.

Practicing Delay and Acceleration is an example of one of 13 strategies we will discuss to help you improve your synchronization.

“Oops, not really” is one of 10 workshop exercises that will help us practice delaying and accelerating.

And there is bonus material: the same science that explains how to increase our synchronicity also teaches us how to prevent injury and to continue rehearsing even if we are injured. Everyone will receive handouts on the theories and written instructions for each exercise (plus 30 additional written exercise suggestions) so you can easily replicate them when you return to your dance community.
