After this workshop, you will be able to perform with a basket at the Gala show with Lisa and Claudia. 

NO PREVIOUS BASKET EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY! 

How is this possible? 

This basket dialect was created with input from Caroleena, so many of the movements do not require any modification.  Her direction to the original group of dancers who developed prop dialects was to create them so that anyone who does FCBD can follow you without a lot of additional training.  Because we created it to her specifications, you will actually be able to pick up the basket and dance with it after this 2-hour workshop.

After we review the FCBD movements that require little or no modification,  we will learn movements that follow a few simple rules.   And the rules are simple, for example, whenever a move is repeated (like Rainbow or Roundhouse) the basket is horizontal the first round and vertical the second.

During this workshop, Lisa will only be teaching the FCBD steps with a basket.  Dancers who don’t know the entire FCBD vocabulary are welcome to attend.  Anyone who doesn’t know one of the steps we work on will still benefit from following what the basket does.
