Let’s explore The Circle as a shape, as a concept and as a formation in this FCBD® Style Performance Intensive!
The circle is the most perfect shape, it withholds all and everything emerges out of it. When we stand/ move/ dance in a circle, we are all equal – “Lead is neutral”as we say in FCBD® Style. The Circle is the moment where we connect, where we check in, where we set up for what is coming next. It stands for unity, connection, no beginning, no end.
The intensive will incorporate FCBD® Style technique, formations and transitions, as well as exercises to help you connect with yourself and with your dance partners. Gudrun will guide you through a whole day of moving, connecting and dancing, creating a beauty- and powerful set, that we will perform at the Skills n Zills Gala Show.
We will have one zoom meeting before we meet in person, where we can get to know each other. Gudrun is also going to give you some more information about what to expect “on the big day”, share the music that we will be dancing to, and answer your questions. Don’t worry if you can’t attend the zoom meeting in person, we will send a recording to everyone afterwards.
Level: intermediate – advanced
Costume: Gudrun will create a general costume theme and share colour selection and components before July 23rd. We will put the costume together on August 11th.
